![]() You should be using the Seed Barrage as much as possible, because that's how you get the best DPS. If you're below 50% health, obviously get out of there, or take a break on using some of your abilities, but Rex's gameplay is centered around taking and healing from damage. ![]() My advice is, for the most part, ignore the health bar. When I first started playing Rex, I barely used the Seed Barrage and Tangling Growth because I was paranoid about my health. I would recommend you use this ability a lot, especially on large clusters of enemies and big bosses with lots of health. If you land the flower on an enemy midair, then it'll float there and root nearby enemies, making your range much larger. It gives the Rooting debuff, and provides a constant, passive source of healing that is great in a pinch. The Eccentric Vase tends to take too much time with the pathway it creates, so while it can work, the other two are recommended over it.Īt the moment, I have only unlocked Rex's Harvest alternative for the special, but I would recommend sticking with the Tangling Growth. Equipment especially, like the Volcanic Egg and Milky Chrysalis can both be a big help. Rex's Sonic Boom is nice, but it's still very limited with the mobility it can provide. Power Elixir can still be good for when you're in a pinch, but I wouldn't recommend it. The entire gameplay of Rex is centered around rapidly gaining and losing health, and thus these two items would be much better use as scrap for a printer. The Molotov is also good for causing burn, but it's not a very good equipment otherwise, so make sure it's worth it.ĭelicate Watch and Power Elixir are both trash, Delicate Watch slightly more so. ![]() Chronobauble is the best because it has 100% chance, so avoid the Tentabauble if you have the DLC, because it makes it a chance to root instead of guaranteed slow. Chronobauble, Tri-Tip, Runald's Band, Gasoline, Frost Relic, and the Symbiotic Scorpion all give debuffs, though I'm sure there are a few I've missed while looking through the items. Your weaken effect and rooting effect both count as debuffs, so you only need two more in order to get bonus damage for Death Mark. I wrote this mostly for fun, and I still haven't beaten Monsoon on Rex cause I'm a noob, so take all of this with a grain of salt! Criticism very welcome, I'm still learning and just wrote this for fun, plus I would like some advice as well!ĭeath Mark is your best friend.
